Interested in "trying out" NBWP Water Polo?  First, register your athlete with USA Water Polo (www.usawaterpolo.org), then register with NBWP Intro to Water Polo. If after 3 practice sessions they realize it is not a fit, we will refund the registration fee in full.  Athletes new to water polo should start at the Introduction to Water Polo Level.

Age is based on how old your player is on August 1st of the current Junior Olympic Year- the age your player is on 8/1/26  indicates the age group he or she is in. 

NBWP requires current USA WP Membership:  Gold Membership under Newport Beach Water Polo, Inc. Club #20606, complete age verification, and upload a recognizable photo onto member ID Card. Splash Ball Membership is ok for Splash Ball. Go to www.usawaterpolo.org to enroll or renew your player's membership.

Review the NBWP website regularly for practice times, tournament schedules, and tournament locations. Rosters and tournament schedules can be found on the website calendar and team pages.

Register your athlete for tournaments once you see that they are rostered. If your athlete is not available for a tournament, please email admin@newportbeachwaterpolo.com and their coach so we know headcount. You will be billed if you do not let us know. 

If you are unsure how to read tournament schedules, please contact your coach at least 2 days before the tournament begins. Check schedule night before tournament starts just in case of last minute changes.

Athletes should check in with their coach prior to tournaments starting regarding arrival times and team meetings before and/or after the game.

Exciting news for NHHS!

• Pool is drained and demo has begun and is on schedule.
• Early October: Demolition on interior of building & locker rooms has begun.
• Mid October: Filling the pool shell.

Newport Beach Water Polo is not affiliated with ANY high school or high school water polo program.  No high school athlete is required to participate in Newport Beach Water Polo in order to participate with his/her high school team.
